My car has xenons like my e46 however, on the e46 they seem significantly "whiter" Is there anything that I can do or do I need to change the bulbs?
I've stolen the pic from the forum for illustration purposes.

You'll need to change the bulbs. 4300k (Kelvin, the heat of the bulb) is standard xenon, very yellow, but gives the best light output I'm told. I use 6000k bulbs, they're the whitest before they start getting blue.
This pic may help:

I bought 5300k custom lamps from the retrofit source to go with my new projectors, they are significantly @"whiter" than the stock 4300k I had before, without being excessively "blue" bear in mind, the higher Kelvin colour you go, the less actual visible light you get..

Cheers Mike, how much did you pay?

Stole my pic

I had 5000K hid's in my headlamps a while back. They were pure white. These are the best if you want an OEM looking headlight colour.

6000K has a slight hint of blue, which always looks a bit aftermarket for me.

Lots on eBay, or Halfords and motor factors, but they seem to cost more than from online. I usually use Powerbulbs.co.uk
Tend to be anywhere from about £25
A pair for budget ones up to about £40 each for Osram or Philips ones.

they were $39.95 for the pair, but I had them shipped with the projectors FOC

Be aware that LOTS of the "branded" stuff o Ebay is fake..
