Xenon bulb holders / igniters

What's the deal/knack to fitting these?

They remove fine. Re fit fine (with no bulb). BUT I can't for the life of me get them to re fit with the bulb in place! Gave up on one side and broke a clip on the other side (fitted fine after that but my OCD will mean I need a new one at some point).

I must be doing something wrong?

Are you trying to fit with the cable plugged into the igniter?
The I inside ring moves depending on whether the cable is plugged in or not. Think it's a safety feature so you don't electrocute yourself

I had this problem with mine. When you take the cable out the ring moves, but on one of mine I tried re-fitting it with the cable plugged in, then unplugged it and the ring hadn't moved back. I can't remember exactly what it looks like but eventually I manually moved a little white switch to move the ring back. No need for a , I bet loads have done it :wink:
