xenon auto leveling problem

hi everyone,

I've been having an intermittent problem with the auto leveling on the headlights. Every now and again (mostly in the rain/has been raining) they decide to point directly at the ground. I plugged an obd2 diagnostic kit in but it just says the stepper motor and control unit had failed. But the on the next day it would work fine. Anyone got any ideas? Water leaking into electric boxes? loose connections? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Interesting one.

The step motor is inside each light unit, so if you say it's both lights then I'd rule out the lights as the problem and go for something else.

Since you mention when it's when I'd take a look at the 2 level sensor, one on opposite front and rear suspension, given the get wet.

Beyond that I can't help, but have a box full of spare stepper motors if you find you need one

Thanks for your advice, I removed the back wheel, only to find a cable hanging and no sensor on the suspension! No wonder I'm having a few issues. I wonder if its a DIY job done badly? Recon it should be easy enough to fit the sensors?
