He says they are both similar spec but the ps4 outperforms the Xbox. Plus the Xbox keeps chewing the discs.
Sony have taken all the great things from the ps3, improved them then added more. Xbox have improved by just removing the bad things about the old Xbox. Also the Xbox is massive in size compared to ps4.
Pre-ordered a PS4 last weekend. Then cancelled the order on the Wednesday. Think I might see how this all plays out first after owning many consoles in the past including the PS3 and 360. Incidentally, in my humble opinion the online capability of the 360 was streets ahead of the PS3 (even though you paid for it!). Really interested to hear what people think of both units over the next few months and will be watching closely.

Me too. I was gonna go with the 360 but having seen a few reviews on the PS4 Sony will be getting my money. Also the Mrs will go bat s**t if I try and put a third console in the living room, so I can swap out PS3 for PS4 and play all the old stuff on the 360. :lol:
They could have made the xbox one much smaller, this is pretty classic Mircosoft design. The 360 had the graphics chip underneath the drive leading to warped discs... They were just lazy with the design which allows a smaller thinner one to be made. All marketing. But with all the early problems of the Xbox 360 (mine got ring of death within a year so I just didn't bother with them again) Apparently the design is for longevity, lots of space for heat dissipation… Yet we can make massively powerful mobile devices without fans… hmm call their bluff on this one.
Not sure about the PS4, with it already having red light issues… maybe its compact sleek look doesn't aid.

All true. I read that MS made a loss on every xbox they sold and also they were very aware of the ring of death error being often heat related. Got mine replaced after 2 years i think.

But both consoles are huge in my opinion. That Xbox picture looks like a clean inside though!
How long till Sony shrink it, like they've done will all their previous consoles? Or is it for heat issues as mentioned?
