Marius thanks for that! Im liking the darker look alot, do you think you could do it gloss black? Thats the colour i originally wanted to match the black roof, mirror and grills etc
domsz4 Ive actualy lost weight by putting these 19s on as ive got rid of run flat tyres which look to be around 2 to 3kg heavier than normal tyres
I'm sure 19s from a 3 series will be similar weight too as there doesnt look to be much in it
They are a little OTT for me but its right that its each to their own & fair play I would keep them silver though as I think it's a nice contrast to the colour of the car
Yea i think its the width and depth that people dont like, although as they are only half an inch wider than most other 19s that people put on their cars. My mate has some Cades Apollos on his 3 series and they are 8.5 front & 9.5 inch rear
yea im not one for following the crowd i prefer to stand out!
I'm sure you're right and the issue is nothing to do with rim size (18's 19's, etc.).
Manufacturers spend a lot of time making wheels look right for the proportions, size and purpose of the vehicle they fit them to.
I had an X5 E53 for years and it had visually heavier wheels to balance it. Equally to fit 108's or CSL thin spoked rims on an X5 would have looked wrong.
