WTF - Nav display options vanished!

and if you knew the professions of the duchman and Jeeper then you'd be even less inclined to follow such advice

It certainly fixed it.
I also popped in to the dealer to try and activate my BMW assist which interestingly was having none of it..!! :lol: I had the sales manager (who was pretty well clued up, fair play) a bit baffled. They called Assist for me who confirmed it had never been activated interestingly..!! It was taking an age to initialise on the second attempt and as I was puched for time had to leave. All I get now is a connection error when it tries to connect. I'll look further into it when I get back from hols.

The assist is a bit belt and braces - allowing call up of breakdown and even emergency if you prang hard enough (airbags etc). With the connected drive you can send locations down from google maps to the car's nav, I've used that a few times - easier than that alphabet scroll thing.... What people have found is that you need sometimes to delete the txts sent to the car to allow reconnection and others to be requested via My Info. I once called the support by mistake and hung up but called a while back when I couldn't get map addresses sent down - you have to then call connected drive - whos number isn't on the assist - doh.
