Hi guys, had my tyres replaced the today and I spotted one of my rear springs is snapped :(

I'm not looking to lower the car, so does anyone have a set of OEM springs or after market ones which don't lower?

Thanks

does yours have the m sport suspension if it does i'm looking for a spring,so if someone has a pair we could split it

I would advise just biting the bullet and buying a new pair of OEM springs, as used springs could just give you the same problems a few months down the line. BMW's are notorious for breaking rear springs so why not give yourself piece of mind with a shiny new pair?

On my car BMW would only replace one at a time under warranty and they ended up breaking within 3000 miles of each other, therefore your other rear spring is probably on its way out as well.

Having a look back through my history it seems the offside spring was already replaced last year. So it looks like they didn't do the pair!

I was looking to buy a pair together.

I have pre facelift M sport springs i don't know if one or a pair would be any good to you?

I'm busy looking for part number but they seem very evasive. I'm not sure if they'll be correct being pre-facelift but I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

I have a pair of OE E86 springs you can have for the cost of the postage. PM me if you are interested.

Do you know how old they are and how many miles (approximately). Are they from a sport or an SE?

Thanks

They are from a 2006 E86 Sport Coupe. I took them off at 31k kms (20k miles). I have the set of 4 if you can make use of them. If I remember correctly I think postage for four springs from the UK was around 15 or 20 pounds with a courier.
We have a local Z4 community but there seems to be no history of the broken spring problem, maybe because they are not used in winter.
