Hello, where can I get new headlight back covers? I have some misting problems with my current ones.
Also the lug where the metal clip holder attaches to is broken, is there a repair kit for that as well? Or can I remove the holder from my old prefacelift headlight and glue it somehow?

Thanks.

Cover from BMW - cheap enough direct.

You can plastic weld any bit from your old headlight onto the new one.

Thanks for the reply. I doubt that BMW in Cyprus will have this in stock and it will take ages to arrive and cost a fortune due to postage (i will call and ask though) so if I could purchase them directly from somewhere in the UK for example would be ideal to save money and time.

How easy is it to plastic weld the bits? Can I do it myself or do I need a professional for that job?

If you struggle I could order and post them to you from the UK.
Try Sopers first as they help forum members

You can weld the plastic with a soldering iron. Easy DIY

Thanks cj  I think we have a soldering iron somewhere around in the house , I have to look for it then. So just melt the plastics until they stick together or do I need to use any other polymer between to achieve better bonding and connection? Do you have any contact information for Sopers? If it all fails I will let you know and I can send you the money upfront via paypal if you can purchase them for me.

Travelling so limits internet, but just search Sopers on here or google and ask for parts.

I just melt the plastics into each other and if I need more cut off bits of an old light or excess bits from my own light

Thanks cj  I emailed them and I also emailed a company in Germany from which I bought other parts so now I will wait and see how it goes. They do not have them in stock here as I imagined. I have a friend you crashed her zed and was waiting for months until they sourced all the parts. The good think is that mechanically they have most of the things as they are the same with other models which are much more common in the road.

Sopers: 01522 690000, ask for parts and mention the forum to get a discount. Postage is usually free as well....

Probably not free postage to cyprus

Ah didn't see that on tapatalk..... But it would probably be free to BFPO addresses in Cyprus ;)

Unfortunately they replied that they do not ship outside the UK. However I have a friend over there who might come for Xmas and I might send them to him and he will bring them to me.
