WTB: headlight washer cover

Looked at my Z4 today to see the driver's side headlight washer cover was missing, haven't a clue what happened to it but can't have been gone for long. Does anyone have a spare one in Montego blue they'd be willing to sell? Just one of those things that's annoying now I've noticed it!

Cheers, Barny :)

Dealer part. Buy it in primer and spray yourself.
Chances of an odd one in the right colour from a member are less than slim

Looks as though you're set to have your wallet lightened. The part is now (a mighty rip off) c £25 and then you need primer, paint and lacquer. Halfords do all of the paints in ratttle cans (to at least they did for Black Sapphire).

Just in case you haven't done this kind of spraying before, do make sure that the paint is kept inside before you use it. If it's too cold, it dries With a matte finish.

I know, I learnt the hard way after my washer cap decided to leave me and the Zed, presumably in search of a better life,

So update for anyone interested. Bit the bullet and ordered from BMW. Annoyingly no Montego blue at halfords so thought I'd go genuine anyway plus gives me some spare for touch ups or when I lose another one..

Cover (primered): £18.50
Rattle can (inc. paint and clear coat): £25.00

A mighty rip off on the paint front but at least it should all look OEM when im done!

I did the same only a few weeks ago, so I too have a set of BMW Montego Blue rattle cans. Perhaps for the next person needing it we can offer to share our paints for a modest cost or forum donation?
