WTB: Genuine E85 Strut Brace

Can get a new one from Germany BMW for under £200 ... Anyone selling before I press the buy button?

Part No' 51710305114

Check with your insurance co first - IIRC when Stuart Truman got his ///M they wouldn't cover him if he fitted the strut brace that he was removing from his Alpina

If they won't offer cover, the simple answer is to just switch insurance companies, but that comes with penalties if you do it mid-policy

For a strut brace? :o I have all my mods listed with admiral, might give them a call and see if a brace & exhaust changes anything!

Thanks for the heads up

Thanks, I've just emailed "admiral" so watch this space....

Just got a email back!

Thank you for asking us to quote you on changing your modifications details on your policy.

As a result of these changes, there would be a balance due of £53.75. This amount will be debited from the account details we hold on file within twenty days of the change being made.

That was for an Remus exhaust and a strut brace, and it's a new policy as of 16th February! At least they will insure the mods!

Not sure if this one ever sold Terry

Just checked $600 :o
Well $575 if you buy them together + shipping

At current exchange rates that makes it about £275 for the strut brace or £385 for the 3 piece set - pretty good value if you look at the UK price of the OEM brace
