WTB 325mm caliper carriers

So I am wanting to send a full set of calipers and carriers off to be refurbed and thought that I had got a good deal on a pair of front calipers on ebay. Turns out that the calipers/carriers are from an X3 and as such the calipers are correct but the carriers are different :headbang: obviously didnt do enough homework on them!

So it seems difficult to get a pair of just carriers and was wondering if anyone had a set lying around?! These are part no 34106765880 and come from 3.0si Z4 or E46 330ci

There's another wanted thread for these.

The carriers you're after are on any E46 330 as far as I know. And are rare and sought after.

Why would you want to send your carriers away for refurb? Easier just to give them a sand down (or buy some wire brush attachments for your drill) and give them a coat of smoothrite or caliper paint.
 
Not just sending the carriers away but the calipers and carriers they do them as a set so they match :thumbsup:
 
I'm still looking for one or two just as a temporary measure to paint in advance of dismantling the set currently on the car. If I get a spare set I'd have my original set available to sell a few days later!

Hi Chris that would be good, I have made some enquiries with some people breaking E46 330d's
 
I've now ended up ordering a complete 325mm brake set from a breaker, so if you don't mind waiting a few weeks I will end up with some spare carriers although I'd rather re-sell the complete kit.

Hi Chris thanks for the offer, im not having much look with the breakers on ebay most of them dont even bother to reply, how much did you pay for the full set out of interest? I might be interested in the whole set depending on cost and then I could just put the X3 calipers and carrier back on ebay as a set.
 
I've just paid £120 inc postage (also includes used discs etc) - I could probably have held out for a cheaper set but like you say, many of the breakers aren't in a hurry to reply to enquiries.
 
Not a bad price really I got a set of X3 calipers and carriers for £60 and thought I had a bargain until i realised about the carriers! probably cost me another £40 for carriers if I can get a breaker to actually reply so not much different really
 
Chris if adam doesnt take you up on the offer then let me know as i am after 325mm set up for my 3.0i. If timing and price are right then i will have them. :thumbsup:
