WTB 3.0si roadster

Hi, I'm looking to buy a 3.0si roadster, so if anyone is thinking of selling and meets the below spec please give me a pm.

3.0si roadster
10k budget
Under 60k miles preferred
Colour: black, grey or montego blue
Manual
Options: heated electric seats, xenons would be nice too.
FSH, (preferably no service due soon)
Aux in or bluetooth setup

Generally looking for a good condition car more so than having a fully loaded spec so feel free to pm me anything close to the above, thanks for looking.
 
No idea where you are in the country, but my local Nissan dealer here in Somerset has my old Z4 for sale:

Now it's on the site at £12,999, but they've already reduced it to £12,300 on the forecourt. I think they've got it overpriced and as it's a bit of a specialist car at a non-BMW dealership, you might well be able to negotiate something close to your £10k. (They gave me £10,500 px so that might help you as insider info).

If you were to take out their finance and then settle it straight away as allowed by law, you'd probably be in a stronger negotiating position too.

It ticks all of the boxes you've specified, has just had Inspection 1 with no advisories, and as you'll see has only covered 28k miles.

As well as the sports pack and heated/electric leather seats, it has HiD headlamps and reversing sensors. I also fitted AUX, though they probably don't know. The audio setup is the DSP job too, not the highest spec but not the lowest either.

I bought it in November 2013 and covered just 2k miles during that time. The only reason I got rid of it was because I didn't use it enough.

Think you mean the 10 speaker non DSP then.

Yes I think so. It has speakers behind the seats and there are various options such as "theatre" on the I it's audio settings.

Yeah your old car does tick the boxes. But I think they'd tell me sod off even if I offered 11k. And im trying to be strict to myself on budget. Maybe worth a shot if it stays around for a while. I've never used finance before so that's new info to me thanks, are there no early settlement penalties?

I'm 99% certain that any finance agreement between an individual and a finance company has to include a 'cooling off' period, whereby the person taking out the finance can decide to cancel the agreement by paying the balance in full, and with no early repayment penalty. Just call Nissan finance if you want to be sure about their own policy.

It's a common way that people use the law to their advantage, because as you're probably aware, car dealers love to sell finance.

Personally I don't think they'd tell you to sod off at 11k, that's around a 10% discount and car dealers hate to have cars sat around. When I traded the car in their valuations were around £9k, but I bought a Leaf, and they were desperate to shift one. My own valuation was pretty much that figure too, so they went in with a price that they thought I'd go for. They were right of course but I still think I got a good deal.

Anyway, I do also appreciate that it's more than you want to pay, but it is a very decent example and you'll have the advantage of some warranty too.
 
Was it top condition mechanically and cosmetically? You can be honest as you don't have it anymore :)
Was it fsh as well?
It's quite far from me so would rather have the price conversation over the phone prior. I'll look into the Nissan finance stuff. Cheers

I paid £10500 for my 2008 3.0si Sport in Jan of this year (Part ex'd my 2006 2.0i Sport against it)
It had 54000 miles and was an AUC (Authorised Used Car) from a BMW dealership with a years warranty and bar the xenons, had the spec you are looking at.

I travelled 400 mile round trip to buy it and it took me about 6 months to find the right Zed at the price I wanted.

The 3.0si are quite hard to find but they are out there so it may take you time to find the one for you - don't be too hasty.

I am not always convinced by low mileage - especially with the long service intervals on the Zeds - how many services has this 2006 had in it's 8 years? You may be surprised to see that it's very few. . . so it's a big help having some of the history from the previous owner. To me it seems over-priced even at such a low mileage - it might be worth throwing in an offer suggested at £11000 - Later, hIgher mileage 3.0si in that price bracket will become available through the winter months I would have thought. . .

I'm no specialist though - just throwing in my experience buying my 3.0si (You'll love it by the way!)

Yeah I'm starting to realise this, stupidly sold my car already so may have to buy a banger as a run around for a while as it's going to take longer than I thought.
I've seen a few, 2 were complete dogs from autotrader..
There's very few for sale at the moment and I think it's keeping the prices a tad on the high side when comparing to what people were buying/selling them for a year ago, it's barely changed from what I can tell.
 
I answered this is a pm, but I'll answer it here too.

My Zed had a good history based on mileage, but not really so good on time. It had a four-year gap between a pair of services, but equally it only covered 8k miles between them.

When I bought it I got the oil changed and then a couple of months back it had an inspection 1 at an independent specialist, (as already noted above). There were no advisories, and that fact is shown on the receipt.

Condition of the bodywork was excellent, alloys were pretty good but with a couple of scuffs. It wasn't in mint condition but it was pretty darned good.

The only mechanical issue was what felt like a slight misfire at low speed. I posted about that on here though I think it probably cleared up. The dealer who bought it could find nothing wrong.

Part of me thinks it's a bit pricey, but then I can't find a similar car on autotrader for less. Most are higher mileage and despite the very valid reservations about low mileage cars, to most people they are a good thing.

Had I driven it more I'd have kept it, but it just seemed to live in the garage, costing me more in wasted VED than fuel. I'd also have driven it more if I'd kept it on the drive, but I didn't want to subject it to the elements and I didn't want to keep three cars on the drive of my modest home.
