Wrong suspension? ?

On Eibachs it's pretty noticeable that it's low, but not stupidly if that makes sense. Just looking at it without anything to compare you know it's low but it doesn't look like a ricer!

I'm already on Eibachs and happy with them but want new shocks - just recently got a B12 kit for £600 though so will have a spare set of springs if you fancy them for cheap. The cheapest I could find a set of B8 shocks was £677 so it was a no brainer. Will be getting new mounts etc. so can let you know how much it comes to all in.
I think you can pick up the springs new for £120 - £150 if you're lucky and just wanted to try those.

Fitting will bump it up a bit but it's not hard; if you paid someone to put the springs on the shocks (as I might do seeing as I will have a new set of everything) that can't be too much plus a day of your time to fit?

B4's Should be fine to use with the eibach springs, i would replace the front shocks with b4's if you can as well whilst you are at it. Will save you the labour/hassle of changing them when they eventually fail.

have you fitted these yet?

my car came with m sport as standard but i have since discovered that it has standard springs fittted so looks like its sitting on stilts :(
i have since got some 2nd hand m sport springs off the forum and need to fit them and see what the ride height is like (approx 15mm lower than standard) but am thinking of possibly going lower to say 30mm like the kit you got..... depending on how practical it is etc.

as your only down the road from me would be good to meet up and have a comparison if thats ok? and an excuse to look at each others Zs :P

Hello I'm getting them fitted Friday should look good alot better than the weird hot rod look at the minute. Yeh I saw you in Wymondham yesterday I was in my work Mondeo though

well my rear shocks went early this year (broken top mount) so i replaced the shocks for Bilstein B4s (as was told this would be fine for the m sport suspension) then after checking my springs a month or so back and then refitting the rubber feet for the springs i noticed that they were the standard springs. so now im going to refit the m sport springs i have since got so it should be sitting at the original intended height.

once all settled im going to possibly look into a further drop depending on if im happy with the m sport height (and how much extra it will cost for new even lower springs/uprated shocks)

so basically just wanting to see what my m sport height(-15mm from standard) would look like compared to Tom Js eibach set up (-30mm from standard) its hard to judge in my head or from photos, in the flesh side by side would be perfect :D

Yeh well at the min the back of mine is standard and the front m sport is a noticeable difference. Did you say you replaced the rubber cups the springs sit in?

Spring pads are pretty cheap, less than £20 for the rear upper and lower both sides.
do you think there likely to need changing on a 2004 car not sure if there've been changed before

how was my Z looking lol?

and yea mine just had the springs in (upside down) and no rubber bits top and bottom so ordered 2 new rear tops and 2 new rear bottom rubber bits, there's some photos in my progress thread, were about £5-£6 each

heres some pics near the bottom of the page...
