Wrong brake bias?

I'm getting quite a lot more brake dust on the rear wheels than the fronts, not noticed any dragging or lock ups from the rear under braking, although I don't drive it in the wet, it's even dust across the rear wheels and driving it I don't notice anything wrong, and there may well not be, but it just seems odd. I'm sure it's the normal front \ rear split with no bias valve but is there a valve that loads the rear brakes when the car is lowered to compensate for heavy boot loads, towing etc that might need adjusting? Anybody else noticed heavier rear dust?

Not sure if the 35is has the same system as the M and other cars where there is brake compensation when taking corners sharply.

If it does, then rear brakes will be engaged a lot more than you think.

Ah yes that rings a bell now you mention it PVR, I think I briefly read something on here mentioning it, that would make sense. Thanks for the reply.

Will be the E-diff working John...

Stopping the wheels from spinning up and trying to obtain you the best grip. Its a good indication you are driving the car correctly...

Bare in mind you have a lot of bhp,and you can basically floor the car from anywhere in the RPM band,in any kind of weather and it wont flip sideways and kill you.
That will be the electronics working...

Cheers Gaz,

Coming from several MR2's I hav'nt caught up with these new fangled modern things, time to get out of 1985...

Still got my last one Gaz, no intention of ever selling it, the tin worm hasn't taken up residency thankfully, it's a cracking handling thing with no aids to help you out if you over cook it, which it will do fairly easily if you're being a bit silly.

Oohhh...

What year is it ?

I always loved the Mk1 T bar..... I had a 1989 model with leather and T bar roof, was a great motor. I had a 1991 turbo import too,i dint havee it long though... Nothing wrong with it just a Lovely alfa 75 V6 veloce came up for sale so i sold it to fund that..

It's late model SW20 1998 t bar, with ultra rare for a uk car air con, had 6 of them although never got round to having a turbo.

It's not as sharp as a mk1 but it's still spritely, a lot of fun.

Spun my MR2 exiting an island!
Lovely car up to that point.
Wet road, oil spill, kicked down just at the wrong moment.

Ohhh what club John? I was an MR2 guy for a few years and with MR2OC and subsequently MR2Only mag for a couple!

Horta say, the e89 is soooo much better than the old days!

Ha, yes they seem a bit dated now I guess but I can't bring myself to sell it, probably won't until my knees give up...

Tbh I never joined a club but used to follow the MR2OC and subscribed to MR2Only mag, it's a shame it went bust isn't it, was a good mag. I'm pally with the guy who runs showcase sportscars, bought 3 off him!

What model did you have gameover?

Ahh we didn't go bust matey, we both decided to sell up so it was just the right time for the mag to close its doors too.

I had a mk2 tbar then a roadster - both really great cars. Never had a mk1 but had a few runs in them, great wee cars!

Ah my apologies I didn't realise you we're an owner of the mag, you're not Steve Bishop are you?

Nah, I joined Steve 3 issues in when I offered up my services - the rest was history :)

Not an owner, but we worked together on it and our other mag for a couple of years.

Maybe there's a Z4 mag on the horizon

Ah ok, well it was a good mag, still got some issues that my little lad didn't rip up as a bairn.!

There is a Z4 mag, this forum...

There's a wealth of knowledge on here, if you have a question chances are you'll get a correct answer, enjoy your stay.
