Wrapping dashboard trim

Completely off topic here, but can I ask what iphone holder this is and where you got it from? I have one at the moment but it requires the grill and covers it and it also means I can't have the heating on

You can wrap yes but IMO the better options are hydro-graphics or take the bits to a sprayer and have them professionally done.

Here are my parts that I had painted to match the piano dash...

Door handles, were originally wrapped but had painted and look far better. The wrap marks very easy, this is a bit tougher. I wouldn't rattle can, it won't last.

It shouldn't cost your more than £150 to have it all professionally painted.
The black gloss looks awesome mate! I had my kidney grills done this week and the painter done a great job. He actually offered to paint my interior trim any colour i want. I really tempted to get the spray painter to do mine gloss black.
He also suggested getting the trim done gloss black but with a montego blue border on the dash trims and center console trim and solid black on the door handles!
What you think)

Decided the silver carbon wasn't for me (wanted something that didn't look so cold) so....

Just waiting for my new ashtray module, gear surround and adjacent plastics.... Should be all done by next week ;)

The ashtray and switch carbon wrap is kinda an experiment until the new parts arrive! This module will be for sale soon!

I actually really like the lid and button trim done like that! Good job!

I'm looking to do mine shortly, do you have a link to the wrap you used? Is it that 4d stuff?

Yep was 4D carbon 450x1520 that's enough for all I done, but it's tight, no error for mistakes : http://bit.ly/1cVIe4x

The roof button section wasn't easy to wrap. The hardest parts were the steering wheel trims! A nice sharp craft scalpel and a lot of patients, I did the volume controls three times before I was happy with it :)

I did the steering wheel parts and the door handles already in mine but never got round to doing the rest yet! As you said thoigh the steering wheel bits beed patience! But I want to re-wrap the lot again - having just moved and used the Z as a work horse it's scratched the door handles so will redo the lot! I've seen a few pics if the 4D stuff and it looks pretty good.

The 4D stuff is really good and bubble free ill do you some close up pics tomorrow! If you want I can sent you a few off cuts of wrap I have left PM me your postal address ill pop a bit in the mail ;)

They look great! Thanks for posting buddy! next quiet afternoon at work I know what I will be cracking on with! May do it in 2 afternoon stints.
1) Front : dash unit, steering wheel parts and right hand side dash unit
2) Centre : all centre parts

All day and I'll end up wrapping my fingers together!!
