Wrapping dashboard trim

I didn't get a zedd with a piano dash but like it.

I know I could possibly find a replacement set by wondered if anyone has tried wrapping the existing ones for the effect? would it work?
 
You can wrap yes but IMO the better options are hydro-graphics or take the bits to a sprayer and have them professionally done.


Here are my parts that I had painted to match the piano dash...

Door handles, were originally wrapped but had painted and look far better. The wrap marks very easy, this is a bit tougher. I wouldn't rattle can, it won't last.

It shouldn't cost your more than £150 to have it all professionally painted.
 
That looks great Mark. Love the door handles. Have they picked up any marks? I've got the main dash part but nothing else - that said it does have some swirl marks which I guess is unavoidable

So far all good, my only concern is my partner and her rings but I've asked her to be careful when using them :lol:


Tom - You could probably do alot for the swirl marks, Autoglym Super Resin Polish would probably help alot, I use Meguires liquid gold class wax to keep it shiney, nice and easy to use, buffs off easy.
 
Yes, bandage her hands maybe? Haha. Love the way the gf let's the satnav and iPod smash about the centre console, thankfully still aluminium. I gave mine a wax but I'll try give it a go , got bucket loads of AG.

This is a great idea. Make sure you use a microfibre bandage so that she doesn't abrade the handles with trapped dirt.

That dash clip by the passenger vent is a git to release! Just finished my door handles then I'm leaving the centre console trim until Saturday !

Reason I chose the silver carbon is... I saw it on a zed I was going to buy before this one and loved the look :)
 
Done!

Unfortunately when I got the ash tray console part out I realised the lid was very grubby! So I've wrapped it for now but not too keen on that being done... I've ordered a new lid ;)

Hope the drivers handle CF pattern matches the passenger side.

Jembo got it wrong and took lots of flak.
 
Looks good but would look better if the pattern on the centre console matched the rest of the trim.
