wrapped dash panels

Finally got around to finishing the replacement wrap on the dash panels. Been running around with three different types for the last couple of months, looking a lot better now in brushed dark grey stainless, which replaces my previous gloss black wrap (the quality of the wrap never was all that good to be honest)
Hope you like it....

What was the original colour of the panels, mine has a dark brushed alloy look to it?
Arr, well now there's a story.....
My original panels are all silver (no leather), then I decided to do the original wrap and got hold of the two dash panels from eBay from two different sellers so were also in two different finishes. Now the finish on the main panel was shot so it's been lightly sanded down and now wrapped for the second time.

Looks very smart Dave. Still enjoying my Android Screen.

You say that’s an android screen?
Not seen one before, that’s pretty impressive
. Take it this isn’t on any normal screen already?

I have the same screen as Dave which I bought as part of a group buy that he organised. My car didn’t have iDrive and I read Dave’s thread about these screens. He fitted it for me too. He also fitted the DAB radio module at a later date. I am very pleased with the outcome. So I now have sat nav, digital radio and can play my music through an SD card or using my i phone through Apple car play.

Looks good! I have the brushed aluminium trim which has many scratches and what appears to be hundreds of tiny nicks god know what the previous owners done to it! I have thought about wrapping or hydro dip but to be honest I prefer to keep the original metal if I can. The question is does anyone know if there is anyone that can refurb the original brushed aluminium?

To be honest even if there was someone, and I doubt it's possible, it's probably far cheaper to just replace it.

That looks great. Did you do the door trims as well?
There has been quite a few with problems with the lacquer on the centre console coming away after having air fresheners etc next to it and you cant really renew the lacquer as it appears to be slightly tinted.
Our 1st set I wrapped with the usual textured carbon stuff and then the 2nd set was carbon effect hydro dipped.
Im thinking if its done again it will just be sprayed gloss black as long as we can find someone that can do a really good job of it.
