Wrap

Hi, only had my Z4 a month it's the culmination of a recent journey after I sold my Tvr.
Had it 8yrs, bought a Boxster S after that but dealer took it back with a few problems. Decided to go for the Z4 and glad I did, absolutely love it.
It's in silver with red interior and I'm trying to decide if a black roof wrap would go or even a deep red :o
Anyone on here done the deed?

Not very good at this uploading lark, but there's not a bad angle on these cars is there.
35k miles, manual. Contemplating a cruise retrofit or the aforementioned roof wrap, just need to decide which is the most 1st-world necessity.

Looking good, personally I’d leave it as is,
but definitely not red :sick2:

You could do the mirrirs in black (not the glass bit lol) that would match the area of the car that has no silver i.e. windscreen pillar. As for black roof, well black is black, its never shiny for more than a few hours, shows every single mark etc etc.
You can always get your hairdryer out and take it off though.....
Your choice at the end of the day bud....

A black roof will lower the car visually.

I have read, though, that a good roof wrap on the E89 needs the rear window out, but that's obviously a choice for you and the wrapper.

As for the mirror backs, it's easy to experiment, of course.

I've had my car wrapped for three years, still looks good but I do keep a cover on it in the winter. The roof was wrapped without removing any glass and is fine.
I would probably have the roof done in a black carbon fibre wrap if I was doing the job again.
