Just picked the car up with a new set of non run flats and I am absolutely astounded - I thought I was in the wrong car! After reading lots of threads on here I was hoping for some improvement in ride quality but it truly is like night and day - I am totally blown away.

It wasn’t an easy call as the rfs had loads of tread on them (they will be going on flea bay) but I am so so glad I took the plunge - loved the car before - love it even more now! Took the long way home I was enjoying it so much :driving: :driving:

After researching all the alternatives I was going to go for the Mitchelins but the tyre guy I have been using for years and who I trust strongly recommended Fuldas. I was sceptical at first as I am from the camp that if I haven’t heard of them they must be rubbish but I did shed loads of research and that together with some positive comments on here persuaded me to take the plunge - clearly early days but so far I am not in the slightest disappointed.
 
Glad it's improved things, just don't forget to invest in a can of puncture weld and a small compressor for the boot :thumbsup:
 
Try popping the old boots on here? Some people on here won’t ditch the rft’s.

I sold a set of tyres on here and they were sold in an hour!
 
Fulda! really! which model of tyre exactly.
A dead give away on grip is the squeal factor. If your tyres squeal when your maneuvering(had to spell check that!) round the average multi storey you have hard rubber Hard does not = sticky....

Yes mcbutler -Fuldas! Really! They are Sport Control - not been on any multi storeys yet but I gave them a bit of stick on way home (legally of course) and they seemed absolutely fine and plenty sticky to me - only squeal factor so far was mine! :D

I’m running fulda sport controls on my e89 & they are brilliant tyres :driving:

I've got a set of winters that are non-RFT so I'm looking forward to seeing how different they feel after the RFT Bridgestones.

Don't think I've ever wanted it to turn colder before! :roll:

Already tried that (just for piece of mind) and get this! They were absolutely fine - German technology for you :lol:
 
Interesting that the Fulda Sport Control have flown under the radar really, good reviews from the likes of Auto Bild ("Good resistance to aquaplaning, short braking distance on dry roads") and decent pricing make them sound like a decent choice TBH.

I'm still running my RFTs until I need to replace the rear tyres, which will be before the spring. I'm looking forward to getting a new set of boots, was looking at the PSS.

I just did a bit of research on Fulda, seems they are actually GoodYear! You live and learn, and they are considered a premium tyre in Europe but largely ignored here. Makes you wonder what Goodyears advertising and marketing team are thinking changing the name from a premium brand to something that sounds like a taiwan special. Anyhow they now have a sport control 2 as well...
Highly rated in tests....

Are any of those actually right? Maneuvering and Manoeuvring.
I thought it was Manoeuvering :(
