Happy to report I just returned from BMW Dealer here in Charlotte, NC, It was the 1st time I visited since I purchased my used 03 Zed from another non BMW dealer.
I was nervous to say the least---I asked them to replace my Business CD head unit Radio, Perform the 30K service, replace the brake fluid, and flush the coolant system!!!! While waiting for them to finish, I saw many other people waiting for their cars----I was even more nervous when I over heard other conversations--- all kinds of issues from other BMW's being serviced, One guy was told it would be 1700.00 to replace A/C compressor, Another person, 900.00 for a major brake job.
Finally my service advisor calls me to his office, We replaced your CD/Radio unit under your 3rd party insurance Company, that bill was 721.90 just for the radio, Thank Goodness I purchased a extended Warranty
) The CD unit performs flawless now, interesting the CD player drive seeks to next track much-much-much- faster, the unit is quiet when you shut it off, no more grinding noise;-)) The Unit must have a different chip set or something? 
The coolant and brake flush and 30 K service cost me in total 498.52 and that included my 75.00 deductible for my radio, the total job cost would have been 1183.90
It was nice to hear the feedback from the mechanic, he told me everything else on my car was in order You know dealers, they are looking for anything to increase revenue! :evil:
Motto of the story---buy a extended service plan, I have already just payed for 50% of it
How does the car drive now--smoother braking and coolant, can't feel that, lol Ready to cruise!
