Hi all,

Travelled from Nottinghamshire upto Kircaldy this morning in my D3 BT and as I came off the M74 my nav put me onto an unfamiliar road, the A70, W :D W what a rollercoaster of a road!!!

The journey up the A1 and along the A66 was rotten, couldn't see 2 cats eye lengths on the A66 due to rain and fog, things started to brighten up on the M74, well became clearer anyway!

Off the Motorway and onto this fabulous stretch of blacktop, hardly anything on it at 08.15, although it was quite greasy and not a flat out drive by any means the road and scenery were great, I didn't travel the whole length as I turned left towards the Forth Road Bridge, if you are ever going to or from Edinburgh this is well worth a drive, I bet it is fabulous on a summers day , you guys that did the Queensferry meet the other week must know it very well, lucky devils

Bits of the A70 are one of the roads in last weekend's Moffat Meet. Welcome to Scotland and have fun up here - there's a good selection of brilliant roads. If you have time, avoid the main routes like the motorways, A1 etc and stick to some of the twisty fun ones

:driving: :D

Good to hear she's been ultra-reliable! Surprised you don't have her on the Alpina Register (#'s 21 and 24 are on there). Mine is easily the best car I've ever owned/driven for the combination of pace/comfort/agility/economy.

Great roads I used to use the A70 and the A702 when driving up to Rosyth over the years. Favourite route though was turn of at Carlise onto the A7 and blast up that way. Some magnificent rivers & fantastic scenery. As stated by others always need an eye out for the boys in blue North of Galashiels.
