Wow! Just wow!

I sold my F33 440i back in February to a very nice chap, for a reasonable cost.

He was so nice that he sent us a bottle of champagne after taking the car! That in itself was quite a gesture IMO.

Eight months on I got a message from him today saying he has had to sell the car on (don't think his wife liked it with the noisy MPPSK). He sold it for more than he bought it for and sent me half the profit via a BACS payment as a goodwill gesture.

I knew he was a nice man, but didn't realise he was THAT nice! I am gob-smacked.

Good karma is worth that, but pretty unheard of.

Good thing you always lose on your cars as otherwise you would be having to refund hundreds of owners

Fixed it for you Pondrew

I would need to start another business, or the revenue would be sniffing around at all the extra cash.
Judging by the amount he sent me, he must have sold that car for at least £29,000. It is a very very good one with a unicorn spec, but that is a LOT of money for a 5 year old 440 as a private sale.

To be fair, you have had to spend so much on it to fix all the issues as well as correcting the DIY servicing that I doubt there is any profit in there

True! I should have cleared the debts by the end of next year. 😜

How very dare you! :o
I ONLY sell the very best of cars (too cheaply obviously).
Spent half the day yesterday trying to get the bolts off one of the calipers of the Z3. They haven't been undone in a while, that's obvious.
So any timescale you had in mind for me selling the car is going to need extending somewhat.
Went out and bought a new tyre compressor yesterday as my (not very) old one was playing up. Turns out the fag lighter socket in the car was so rusty inside it wouldn't make a good contact. Cleaned it all up and old compressor was fine. So have two tyre compressors now!

And of course you have had a windfall. So there must be a bit of cash to spare.😉

That'll teach you for buying a clown shoe

That's a real stroke of luck Andrew.

Gives you a bit more to waste on your Z3 project!
