Wow 51 deg...now that's hot!

A heat wave in India has it 51 near Deli, I've been in 44deg in Turkey in August and never again, anyone been up to the 50's or over? Can't imagine it..:heat:

Gowd-al-mighty that's baking. I've experienced 48 in Abu - Dhabi for the 30 seconds I was stupid enough to leave the airport hotel. Odd's on the UK getting 40 plus temps in the next 5 years?

51 deg ? Holy cow ! I've experienced 42 deg at Abu Simbel Temple, Egypt. We had to walk across the tarmac at the airport there to get in a coach and the heat simply took your breath away and the tar was sticky underfoot. The air con in the visitor centre was the best ever !

A few times in Dubia. There is a reason they never give a temperature above 50deg officially in Dubia as they have to lay the workers on construction sites off with pay. I was told this by a HR official who has worked out there for the last 8 years

I'm out in Muscat, Oman for most of the year and it's getting close to 50 at times. Of course that's in the shade. Try teaching PE in direct sunlight at close to 60 degrees. Mental. We've had to sack it off as the kids faint. It's a bit different to sunny Nottingham where I used to work. :D

Working in Ahwaz, Iran and 55 deg C was not uncommon, even the locals were complaining.
