1st time I've gotten a flat in years and it had to be on the M with brand new tires!!! 
Probably put less than 500 kms on them.
Driving on the highway through town on Saturday afternoon and just after a passed a spot where they took down an overpass about 6 weeks ago the tire pressure light comes on. Pulled into a garage to check the tire pressures and the right rear tire was about 10 PSI lower than the others so I added some air and continued home.
Got home and took a closer look and discovered this lovely piece of shrapnel in the tire.
I called the shop where I bought the tires and although they closed for the weekend 15 minutes earlier, they answered the phone and said they thought the damage sounded repairable and to bring it in 1st thing on Monday. The challenge is I'm hopping on a flight to London tonight and won't be back till Friday night. I jacked up the right rear corner of the car to take the weight off the tire until I get back. I've got my fingers crossed that they don't have to order a new tire because these took more than a week or to come in and each of the rears was over $400.
