Our daughter in law has just passed her test and no way is she 'borrowing the Zed......plus the insurance would be sooooooooo much... :o

You really have to wonder about some parents. I could go on a rant here, but will pass. Suffice to say that letting your 19 year old son drive a super car that he didn't work for (much less any car) is less than stupid. It's assinine. What a waste. Z4 Pilot

Nope, my 23 year old daughter has asked several times to drive the Z, the answer is always the same.NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!! :D

Agree. No one else can drive my car too, but I have no choice but to let BMW technician to drive it.

Article says "Police are investigating whether he was speeding when he lost control of the car on the 50mph road"

come on lol, do thet really need to investigate

Thats just not a responsible parent, b ut I let my son drive my cars, he has driven my porsche, and golf mk5 300bhp, but while I sit next to him. I have given him tuition on the track , and he is a very good driver, But I would say that he is rare ! for a 19 year old.

He could have been doing the speed limit. It was on a sharp bend, so if he decided to 'play' with the throttle he could have started to fishtail / spin. Cue 'I'm the stig' or 'panic, keep pedal pressed to the floor' and suddenly he's going very fast in very much the wrong direction.
