Would you get a full bonnet respray for 30 odd stonechips?

Hi all as above really, I know I have mentioned it before about new wheels or respray-but would 30 odd chips prompt you to get the bonnet painted?-thanks

The only true way to stop the bumper/bonnet stone chips is driving like miss daisy or go everywhere backwards.
You know as soon as its done the first stone chip will really get under your skin and you will wonder why you had it done. :headbang:
After all its a car and needs to be driven and the odd stone chip is part of that

Agree -its so fookin annoying tho when on the motorway I leave a decent gap between myself and the car in front only for some a/hole to cut in and fill the gap! :headbang:

Yep I know what you mean had a blast down to Clacton on Sunday and left space between cars and some tw*TS pulled into it. It always seems to be people carriers with kids in and they drive up the ar*e of the car in front and then won't move over when you come up behind them

Well im getting a whole new ///M bonnet for the 7 small marks i have

But the good news is that on your current annual mileage the odds of being hit by a stone must be massive! Indeed you are unlikely to get a stone in your tyre tread! :D

Respray and then wrapped otherwise I wouldn't bother. Alternatively spend a few hours touching the chips in and then get the bonnet machine polished, If the paintwork is black, after touching in the chips and a thorough polish you will hardly notice them, unlike if you had silver paintwork.

Tim.

Sorry to dig up this old thread but today I picked up 4 pesky chips below my BMW roundel on my bonnet which look awful. Looking into options. £300 to spray the bonnet seems excessive but companies like chips away say they will do up to say 10 chips for £30. Has anyone used them? Any opinions? I realise the quality of the work is probably dependent on the person doing it but wondered if anyone had..
