Hi all - would it be a good idea to regularly check the height from floor to bottom of wheel arch to see if your springs are okay? -or is it inconclusive?-cheers

Dont know about measuring it just take your wheels off have a look its easy to see if there broke, done mine the other day found both rear springs broke the drivers
side was broke at the top and bottom :thumbsdown: changed both springs feels much better now no more bottoming out on speed bumps

For it to be a reliable test - fingers is a good one - it would have to be done on the same perfectly level surface each time. Mine changes depending on where the car sits on my drive. It's sloped and not level in certain places. As above, when I have the wheels off I just have a wee look round everything in the arch, including the springs.

A full tank weighs 55 kilo so would make quite a difference (same as putting a small adult in the boot in my experience :| )
