Worth refurbing 108s before sale?

Hey all - gonna have some 108s for sales soon - 5yrs old - ok condition for their age (scratches from kerbing etc). No bends or any other issues.

Do you reckon it is worth getting them refurbed before sales or not worth the hassle?

Also does anyone know a refurber in Herts?

Cheers!

If you're refurbing 108's properly, splitting, acid dip, powder coating etc, you'll pay more money than what you'll sell them for.

Do a cheap job & they'll look tacky, so suggest you save your money+ time & take less than you want for them.

imo unlss you know a good person that can do this for you/ with a friend discount it wont be worth it.

At £100 a wheel a refurb you are looking at £400.

You'd struggle to shift mint 108's for £650, but i recon you could sell ones in need of a refurb for £250-£300.

Or give them as a gift to me for £100 as am thinking about a winter set...

Sell as is IMO - the new owner can do a DIY or full refurb if required.

Or, sell the front set to David, who has been looking for a front wheel for a while

I'm still waiting for my new wheels to arrive, but i think i'll only sell these as a full set as it will be too much hassle otherwise
