Worth getting the Storm V1 gear knob?

Just wondering how many of you have the Storm V1 gear knob and think it's worth the money? What about the similar hand brake? They look awesome but wondering if the improved gear change claims are true.

Hi,

Got one of these after some research. It is a quality item no doubt, and does improve the gear shift IMO. The box is still notchy 1st to 2nd when cold, but with the extra weight it feels much better when warm. I like the metal feel as well, though it can be a bit cold on very frosty mornings.

I think I'll take the plunge then. The one on my Zeddy looks worn anyway (that's my excuse).

Do people bother changing the gaiter as well?

Great knob,tryed a zhp for a while then changed to a Storm v1 far better feel when changing gear. If your are wanting one , contact Storm a tell them you use the forum ,i got mine for £56 engraved & delivered.

That's interesting to hear. I have a ZHP at the moment but I'm considering "upgrading" to a Storm V1 - is it considerably different from the ZHP?
