Hi guys,

Changed this roof motor for a forum member recently due to being unable to revive it.. Could this be the worst one yet?

Not surprising the condition when I find someone had previously replaced the motor and left it like this

All nice and neat relocated to the boot now :)

Wow that's bad.
Can't believe it could be replaced before and then not have the lid off the housing put back on. What were they thinking?
Good job theres guys like you around to help rescue all these submarine motors.

Slightly cheeky question. Where do you source the carpet from to make the cover? It looks a perfect match.

Yes it's a near perfect match!

I'll dig out the company name as it was nearly a year ago I bought the carpet :)

Where is that?

That's the view of the roof motor in its original location. You have to remove the roof tray in the boot and look towards the left over the wheel arch towards the passenger door. Basically above the drain holes.

Should "drain holes"' as they don't.

The motor should have a cover on the top and then tape around the housing to secure which the pics show someone has left off. It's then cable tied to the roof frame so although you can see it through the boot its not easy to remove. This motor never had a chance of lasting :(
