Worst day EVER!!

Spent the day at gaydon for the concours event! Got there at 8.30 and only now got back to the hotel, the whole thing was a fix, the judges judged there own f*cking cars, and guess what, they all won!!!! I got marked 14 out of 20 for my wheels and tyres, the wheels are as new, theres not a mark on any of them and the tyres are brand new, the reason for losing 6 points was because i put shiny tyre on them, WTF!!! What an absolute joke, i hope tomorrows better....

I went and shown various cars over the years....But got a bit "tired" of it for the last 3...

Still a great gathering of BMW's though.
 
If its any consolation i already voted the orange Z THE creamer of all Tom.s pics in his earlier post .
I knew id seen it before on here & its a credit to you so pop the cork & have a vin rouge :) It instantly eases the strain :thumbsup:

Have to agree, your car is a stunner. Couldn't believe how fantastic it was when I saw it in the flesh at Silverstone (you were parked right behind me). These concours events are all very well, but my guess is your car would have been marked down for non-originality as well. Chin up and as Mr Wilks says have a spot of vino!

I was there today and i also could not believe my eyes, they are judging their own f*****g cars :evil: . Even marked down the guy with the M5 for not having his service docs in the car, thought the same as you, bloody fix.
It will be a better day sunday.
 
Nevermind Neil, wouldnt want people like that all over my car anyways, if its a fix then thats not very sporting so leave them to it if it makes them happy. We all know your car is a minter mate.

Im looking to get there at around 9:30 depending on SWMBO getting ready in morning :roll:

Whats the latest on the weather? Last year was a scorcher!

Thanks for the feedback Neil. It's only through the likes of yourself who bother to speak up that we'll ever improve the club for its members. I'm not a concours guru myself so can't really comment on specifics, the only observation I could make is that maybe you were in the wrong competition? Perhaps you should have been in the 'Pride of Ownership' comp instead. Whichever is the case it sounds like the pre-competition information was poor and that as an enthusiastic member you are now hacked off with the club - not good. I'll pass your comments back to the club and ask for a response
