Worse car wash ever?

So, I'm up in Oldham for Christmas visiting the folks, and was bored earlier so thought I'd go and get the zed washed and valeted. Asked my mum where's good nearby and she sent me to a local handwash place.

Now I'm not a detailing/clay bar snob like some folks on here ;) but I could've lamped these lads. Dirty old sponges on the wheels, dirty hand mitts just thrown all over the paintwork and the whole car is covered in streaks, so I'll have to get it done again.

I just told them not to bother with the inside, gave him a fiver and left sharpish.

Note: never take car advice from your mum, who drives a 1.2 Panda and washes it once a year :D
 
One of those hand wash car places took the lacquer of my last car, that was theblast time I went there

Sorry, I know its unintentional, I put Bs and Ns in instead of "space" all the time on my phone. But great pun!
 
I sat and watched the local hand car wash guys near me a few weeks, back while my other half was in the shop. One dropped his sponge, picked it up and immediately threw it on the roof of the car he was cleaning :o
They rinsed it off then got the chamois out and wiped the car over, owner came out and drove off.. chamois were threw on the floor and jet washed clean :cry: .

If it were me and I wasn't into cleaning cars myself, I'd find a detailer near me to do it for me rather than risk the clear coat damage :coffee:
