World of Warranty - anyone used them?

When I bought my car it came with 6 month warranty from them, they've contacted me offering 12 month extension for £299 or 24 month for £499. Wondering if anyone has used them and had to make a claim and whether this is decent value or not.

It's over 10 years so if they do it would be expensive.

TBH I would bank the cash just in case. If your handy with spanners or have a good indi you should be fine. Worst issue really with pre face lists with the M54 engine is the roof.
 
Hutch, would that be the roof motor specifically?

How reliable are the M54s? My '03 (63k miles) is running like a well fed race horse. Just checked the DISA and it looks brand new, so I am fairly confident that the drivetrain is solid. The only other engine-related issue I have heard of is the VANOS.
 
M54 is a solid engine good for 100's of thousands of miles. Keep it serviced and it will serve you well :)

Just saying in general the car is pretty bullet proof. Except for the roof though. Most likely item to fail, and also lots have had to fight to get replaced under warranty. So warranty might not even cover.

If it was me I'd bank the cash though.
