Wow Brazil got mullered like they were a weekend pub team

Germany were just ruthless but full of unselfish play - almost like the system Arsenal play but better quality

Already looking forward to the finals :thumbsup:
 
It was just incredible to watch how easy it was for Germany and to score so many in such a short time was truly mind blowing and that's what makes football so unpredictable in many ways but I have always respected Germanys ruthlessness and they proved it massively In this game.

If you look which teams Brasil played to get to the semi finals it seems like that had a very easy ride until now.
 
Epic scoreline. Can't remember being so shocked watching a football match since Cantona sorted out a lippy supporter in the stands. The sad thing is, even last night's Brazilian team would have tonked England. :roll:

The sunday league team I used to play for would stand a good chance against England! the world cup got so much better when England went out as you were guaranteed to watch decent football from the other nations because with England you never see any quality, class, ideas or talent because they are just over paid players with very little pride sadly.
 
That and the fact that each individual wants the glory of a goal so they will not cooperate to get there together but will take shots with little chance of success.
 
Germany pretty much schooled the planet on how to play football last night - totally unselfish and they knock in 7 against Brazil. Even 2m from the goal they're pulling it back to make sure someone in a better position gets a guaranteed goal.
 
Agree and you both have described how other teams use team work to gain success and in some ways it showed how reliant Brazil were on their two key players that were missing but in football everyone plays a key role and you have to take your hat off to Germany as they prove how very effective that is.

Total contrast to last nights game... Pretty good football though.

Class defending tonight! Villa's concrete Ron looks solid....shame he doesn't play like that for us :(
 
You need to play the game to understand the game, it's not all about 7-1 wins!
Defending in an art, especially against Messi, Robben, Aguero etc
