I know there is not a lot of love for the World Cup on here, especially this one, but thought it was worth discussing any decent games for those that are interested.

First up is the 'old firm derby' between Qatar and Ecuador. Can't wait... :D

I like worldcup. Nearly all other football is behind a considerable pay wall these days but the world cup and euros are still on terrestrial.

I drew Iran in the work sweepstake so mixed support on monday!

That could well be Southgate's words tomorrow evening. :o

I like football, but won't pay to watch it, so agree the WC is great for me.

Over the last couple of years I’ve been losing the love for football, too much time wasting, theatricals and lack of sportsmanship. Won’t be intentionally watching the World Cup this year but the other half said she will be! Bought us a pair of season tickets for the vitality big blast T20 and TheHundred at Edgbaston for next year.

World Cup 2022 Winner: Belgium @11/1
Stake £15.00

Potential Return: £180.00

No bad for the 2nd ranked squad in the world. I put it on a few weeks ago, i think you can get 18/1 currently. 8)

As a Scotsman, I will break with a lifetime's tradition of supporting anyonebutengland tomorrow and support my English cousins when they play Iran.
This is nothing to do with being mature and non petty, if England win I get the cost of a keg of perfect draft beer refunded. :D
It's a win win really, either free beer or an English humiliation.

 A big fan of the white ball games but also love the test matches but unfortunately our June hols clashes with the Ashes.

Wonder how much Budweiser have been given to not make much fuss about no beer sales in the stadiums and very restrictive sales even in the fan zones.

Read somewhere they had paid £80 million for the rights to be the only supplier.

I've always watched plenty of matches at previous World Cups, but I can't seem to find much enthusiasm for this one sadly.

But I think that's mostly because IMHO it should never have been awarded to Qatar.

Yes I get that, but it has, so why not just enjoy the football?

Football is football. Doesn't matter where, just what, surely?
