I know what you mean about the CD I like a book to get greasy prints on rather than the lappy 
I think Haynes do a book for the E46 3 series that covers the pre-faclift Z4 E85/6, so it may be worth checking if they do similar with the 2005 E90 3 series, or look up Bentley's workshop manuals which might do one.

It's a bit incomplete, but can be helpful in some instances.

Only thing the E90 shares with facelift models is some engines, but they aren't DIY friendly due to their valvetronic nature apparently.
