Working at Xmas

I will never work Xmas day unless I was in the emergency services. Money comes and goes but your limited on the number of days you can spend with family and close friends.

I'm off from the day job over the Christmas period but I'll be working a few hours here and there over the Christmas period playing the piano (including xmas and boxing day).

Was tempted to keep it clear this year but nearly a months pay for about 10 hrs work... yes please

Well to be honest Christmas is one day. I see my family and friends all year... The people I work with are somebody's family and friends so I'm happier at work and not getting paid extra for it. Might even wear my Santa hat or angel hair band. Actually looking forward to Christmas at work, from past experience everyone is usually in a great mood and its lots of fun. People bring in vast amounts of nice food too. Could be worse.

What's in Costa Rica? We've got a manufacturing plant there where they cut silicon wafers into their individual chips and package them into the CPUs that you would recognise. Also a lot of coffee! Mmm, coffee!

A potential new supplier, only there for 2 days, then a couple of days in Miami in the way home :D

GregZ4, where is your pharmacy, my wife works in community pharmacy?

In Stoke-on-Trent. Work for The Co-operative managing one of the "flagship" branches.

After 25 years qualified and working in a variety of community pharmacies and head office (legal and professional teams), I can honestly say I still love it. :D

I think there are a couple of other pharmacy guys on here, I'm sure I saw Jamie W is one........

I prefer working, get the bank holidays back as leave that I can book off when I want. And use the extra money that I earn working Christmas to spend going away somewhere

Also one of the four of us at work needs to work and as they all have kids I'm happy to do it
