It looks really poor because it wasn’t done at the factory. It retrofitted.
It’s the wrong wood ( pine rather tan walnut) and doesn’t fit the way it would if it were coming from BMW.
 
This is the USA-spec Madeira wood trim option, a relatively rare option on the Z4M ...

Definitely not everybody's cup of tea. But I kinda like it. I prefer carbon leather, but would take the Madeira option over aluminum any day of the week.

Are the dashboard wood easy to remove don’t want to snap it.
You been a lifer Ben g what colour would (wood) you suggest.
I’ve never been keen on the colour.

God knows :lol: but I have seen it fitted to other Z4's (in photo's), never in real life.

There seems to be a few wood finishes able for the dash pieces for our cars. Another type has horizontal lines, mixed in with the wood finish. Shockingly terrible :thumbsdown: :lol:

Yes, it was called Maritime. It's always confused me why anyone would want to make the interior of their Z4 look like a yacht!

The dash in the car in my original post looks like Madeira Walnut 4ME to me.
 
Good job we're all different... I'd rather have a wood dash than some of the bi-coloured leather options. Love Phoenix as an exterior colour, but internally makes me feel like :sick:
