Wood trim for E85

Looking for wood trim for my E85
Two part dash and centre console ideally but if you just have the dash that's fine (I'm not
confident of removing the gear knob without re-arranging my face lol)
Many thanks
Dave

Glad someone else is a fan of the wood trim! I had walnut trim in my E36 and loved it, but many view it as a bit naff or ‘old man’ territory

There’s a set on ebay at the moment, but £400 and that has some cracks and chips. I’ve considered vinyl wrapping my trim, but worried it will look crap…

I bought one a few years ago, but never even unwrapped it, think it is still in the loft as I changed my mind and got a carbon wrap on my original dash

Every time I see a TV program about a classic roadster with a wood dash, I think to myself, I might like one. but then I get back in the car and think hmmm, quite like the aluminium. :?

Looks like we've both got zeds in Maldives Blue. Can't see what your interior is like, but mine is 'hearing-aid beige' so a bit of veneer would like nice!
I've seen the e-bay set as well. I had a quote to get my aluminium trim wrapped professionally and it was a lot less than that.

‘Hearing aid beige’

My interior is black mainly, but I’m not a massive fan of the standard aluminium trim. Tempted to buy a cheap trim set and wrap it myself. If it looks awful, I’ll just pretend it never happened!

Best of luck with your search

I don’t think so. Most I’ve seen have cracks or damage. Value is one of those strange things. It’s worth as much as someone will pay for it. Given wood ones are quite rare… and it’s an original OEM piece (not wrap, etc). but yes maybe it’s a tad optimistic

I'm surprised firebobby hasn't posted on here yet - he loves the wood trim in his Z4 for some reason.

I have to say I'm beginning to like it, maybe on the dash but keeping the console aluminium would be good. Looks less boring than the aluminium.
