What other options are there ? Just pick up yellow pages and choose an independant garage ?

ask around your area - neighbours, friends where they take their cars and are they happy etc - always a decent enough start. Failing that go into a couple of garages and start talking to them - explain the symptoms and what they think it might be, you will soon get an impression of who to trust etc....

Never go to a place like Kwik Fit for such work. A good clutch specialist is a good place to start searching for in your area. Mr Clutch?

And confirmed that the clutch is on its way out,..it has self adusted itself right up to the last bit of usability, thats why I feel like there only 'any clutch' in the last bit of the pedals release.
There's goes several hundred pounds....at least it should last me a long time :?

Your flywheel might need changing too, BMW would charge around £1500 for both to be fitted

I know this might sound mad, but have you tried pulling the clutch pedal up? Master cylinders can

Do these Flywheels tend to die at the same age as the clutch plates ?
