Well decided during the week to awaken the z4 from its winter sleep . Been garaged for 3 months and the problems started right away . First turn of the key she roared into life but wouldn't budge . Rear offside wheel pulling down , brakes stuck on . After a long ten mins of back a inch forward a inch she finally broken free . Ye ha says me so off to the road only to find the front brakes sticking on . After a short drive home i parked into the driveway and noticed the centre cap of the alloys pop off . Wheel had got so hot it had melted the clips away and the cap just feel away . Jacked her up and front nearside wheel couldn't turn without considerable force on the wheel brace so i started stripping it down . Found that the disc was badly warped and pads where shot . Jumped into the wife motor and headed for euro car parts . Ended up getting a great deal with their 30percent off online code . New front discs and pads for £46 quid . Fitting went straight forward although i had a bit of work freeing up the caliper . Test drive today and all good . I had left the handbrake off during her big sleep and certainly never expected to hit problems with front and rear brakes given that the temperatures have been quite mild . Anyhow job done and now back on the road.
