Wobbly wing mirror - any ideas?

The glass in my nearside mirror wobbles quite badly at speed, even on smooth surfaces.

The housing is secure and the glass feels the same to the touch, but still it wobbles.

All the electric adjustments work fine.

Should I just try removing/refitting the glass?

pull if off before is breaks off completly - I think some have used double sided 3M tape

plenty of threads on this

pull off gently, and mix some araldite and glue glass back onto the black plastic.

Holds up good in heat and works if you have heated wing mirrors.

Get from halfrauds - one tube is red and the other white, you mix 50/50 of each and you only need a small amount.

Mine was like this about 2 weeks ago. The I washed the car and when I closed the passenger door...

Mine fell out on the morning of the day I was going to check them and re-glue them on. :?

Change it early so you avoid walking to your car and getting in then mirror falling off and smashing in front of a few onlookers. Highly uncool as I discovered

mine fell off before I knew this was a common issue - just 4 days ago in the hot sun !
£15 replacement from ebay
