Wobbly steering wheel

So I drive a 2008 Z4MR - pretty low mileage at 22K. I love it but have noticed that there is some steering wheel wobble which starts at about 50mph. It doesn't seem to get worse as I go faster. I've had the wheels and tyres checked and have been advised that they are as they should be - wheels well balanced and tyres almost new and undamaged. Any thoughts on the cause and solution please?

One additional question (whilst I am here) is that when I have the steering wheel at close to full lock at low speed there is a groaning sound from the rear of the car. Any ideas please?

If it sounds like a whale or a fog horn it's the steering rack which you can lube.

My car did that when I got it.

I swapped the CSL Replica wheels for a set of refurbed 224s with new tyres and the wobble disappeared so I suspect one front wheel (or maybe both) was out of balance.

Just a thought but with such a low mileage how old are your tyres?

Thanks both for your answers. I’ll give the lube a go 😊
The tyres are newish but I may get a 2nd opinion. I don’t think the wobble was there when I bought the car (in December.)

Take a look at this discussion: https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=100725. I also had wobbly/loose steering, now mostly gone by performing ring adjustment as described in the above discussion.

I know it sounds obvious but if it wasn't doing it when you bought the car perhaps it means that one of the weights has fallen off one the wheels. I think they are only stuck on. Have a look for a dirty squarish mark on the wheel.

OP has a MR, which has a hydraulic power steering. The ring adjustment is for the EPS found in non-M zeds.
