Wobbly Airbag?

I changed the steering wheel last week to a multi function one, I have fitted the airbag back on but it does not seem to fit secure and is all wobbly have tried to push it back home pushing screwdriver in the holes on the back of the wheel and hitting it like a hitty thing but to no avail it's still wobbles about! Has the MFSW got a different airbag? has the new steering wheel been damaged? Am i missing something? :?
 
All E85/6s use the same driver's airbag. It should just snap into place.

Not sure if this is related... The TIS mentions the steering wheel must be replaced if the airbag has been triggered. But there is no explanation why. Any chance you have a wheel from a triggered unit?
 
Maybe the discharge distorts the wheel slightly, every action has an equal and opposite reaction etc...

You don't need the screwdriver to put it back on.

What I would suggest is removing again, then check the connectors are attached correctly and that no other cables are in the way stopping it from sitting correctly.
 
Thanks each! i will have a look the weekend, it may be that it was in a crash so i will strip all the bits off and fit them to my wheel. :thumbsup:

If the actual wheel ou bought is the same as your original one then I would swap the parts over.
