Wish List

Hi Guys

I'm putting together my 'wish list' of options for the Z4 I'm looking at next year. So far I have:

BMW Z4 2.0/2.2 (undecided at the moment!)
Sport (M seats, sports suspension etc)
2006 or later
Wind Deflector
Fog Lights
Cruise Control
Metallic Paint
18" Alloys
Ipod Dock (do these exist on standard models?)
Heated Seats

Is there anything else I should be looking to add to this that you would recommend?

Thanks

Pete

May well depend on insurance etc. but I would certainly go for the 6 cylinder engine of the 2.2 or above  .
Would also go for Xenon headlamps :)
If going for the heated seats try for the electric adjustment option as well :D
A bonus if you can get the OEM sat nav fit :dance2:

Good luck in your search and if I haven't mentioned it before thee's a pre owned check list link in my signature which may help when looking at a vehicle.

19" BMW Performance wheels for summer, current 18" 325M wheels with winter tyres for winter, kidney grilles in black high-gloss, and short rod aerial. :D

i think all sports come with 18's (but i could be wrong!) but in MV2 style (multispoke) imo i prefer the look (and ease of cleaning) of the 108's (5 spoke)

Fog lights are standard on UK cars (although a little poinltess as our cars are so low)

Ipod dock doesnt exist.. but you can get BMW ipod connectivity..... however its a little crude.. using cd buttons.. much better getting a car with NAV and then getting the intravee kit. if you get an 07+ car it should come with an aux in under the climate unit.

Worth getting the comfort pack... so cup holders and rear pdc (a little pointless in a roaster but i'm still glad i have them)

if ur set on 2.0 or 2.2 get the 6cyl 2.2! Its a peach and ive never struggled to keep up

thats because all the 3.0ltr guys have manners and don't push too hard when you are behind them :P

am I correct to think 2.2 was dropped by 2 ltr engine after facelift?I am sure I read this somewhere here the other day,but I might be wrong.

you are correct, so a 2.5si might be worth a look

The way i see it the 2.2 was replaced by the 2.5i as it has similar power and a 6 cyl; and the 2.0 was a new introduction.

The 2.5si being some where inbetween a the prefacelift 2.5 and 3.0.

Not sure why anyone would opt for a 2.5i instead of a 2.5si when new though.. unless to save on insurance.
