Many years ago I had an impacted wisdom tooth removed - had a local and was in the chair for about two hours - The surgery looked like an abattoir - I drove home feeling very wobbly.
To cap it all (no pun intended) I had an interview two days later - Mouth clenched and swollen.
I think I got the position from the sympathy vote!
