Wiring Harness for speaker upgrade?

Hello.

Ive just changed my standard cd player to an aftermarket version, now only owning my z4 for a couple of months i didnt really know what i was getting into with regards to the upgraded speaker systems.

so

now my two door speakers dont work, the tweeters do along with the rear and footwell speakers. With a bit of research i discovered that the speaker upgrade is the two speakers in the footwells. my car doesnt have sat nav.

anyone know of anywhere either online or in london where i can get a wiring harness that supports t he speaker upgrade so i can use all 8 speakers instead of 6?

I didnt think there was an eight speaker setup, only 6 or 10.

If you don't have an upgrade there are no door speakers, only grilles with nothing behind them

I will have another look in the morning, will dig out my torch and shine it through the grill,
thought the 10 speaker set up was on the newer shape? ive got the oringial z4 with the amber inserts in the headlights.

Ill re post what i find.

Yeah the system is only 6 but if you're counting the grilles then it will seem like 8.

on ten speaker systems you loose the cubby holes behind the seats for subwoofers

yeah i had a look at the door speakers. i feel cheated! :x
couldnt really tell if they were there or not but definatly dont have the subs!

On my 04 z4 with business cd can you add the subs or up the speaker system need more bass

Does anyone know where the door speakers (on the 10 speaker non carver option) are wired to (before i pull my door cards off?

I was planning on changing them as they are pretty gutless and running them from an amp.

If you have the 10 speaker system you already have the amp, and on pre-facelift cars the it was in the boot next to the battery, but it moved on facelift, can't remember where too. Back of the centre console somewhere?
