2003 Z4 2.5i - Attempting to wire my Spyder halos. There are only 6 wires coming into the socket to plug in headlights. Still not sure which of the 4 (2 Tan wires are ground) to use as the hot lead for the halos. The one row has a ground and 2 blue striped wires. I see these are for the directionals. The center blue gives me a steady 12v until I use the blinkers, then its up and down all over the place. The other row has a tan ground and a yellow striped w/ green and a white striped w/ blue. These are for the headlights/high beam. I can't get a steady 12v from either - depends whether the headlights or high beams are on. I want my halos on whenever the the car is on. Anybody advise on which wire to tap?

Well you can't - there's nothing in the headlight that has a constant feed. So you can either run an ignition feed from somewhere else or wire them into the sidelights and code those for DRL.
There is a switched live in the box on the top LHS of the engine bay (as you're standing at the front of the car). I've used it to get a switched live to my angel eyes, so you don't need to go through the firewall.

If you fancy coding it then there are a couple of DRL options - I *think* it's possible to have sidelights as DRLs but haven't tried it myself.
