Wiring for car

I am going to 'hard wire' my digital TV power supply, and extend the power cables and the coaxial cables on the antennas.

Having doing some reading, I think the below wire is rated high enough for this purpose, right?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-metres-super-flexible-12AWG-Silicon-Wire-RED-BLACK-BLUE-you-pick-/121080593753?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&var=&hash=item1c30f73d59

If / when a decent how to comes along on wiring the AE to the interior lights so they switch on when unlocking, I would also use the cable for this.

As I'm not a massive electrical wizard, best to post and check first.

* As for extending the coaxial: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3M-Antenna-RP-SMA-Extension-Cable-WiFi-Wi-Fi-Router-/250777908913?pt=UK_Computing_Boosters_Extenders_Antennas&hash=item3a638736b1

Thanks

12 gauge is more than enough. earth everything properly.

What is the connector for the aerial? You don't want to really use this for said purpose

Thanks. I'll be using a fuse tap (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170709632237?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649) for the live, run it to the boot, and wire the earth to one of the various earthing points in the boot.

Its an SMA connector. The one I've linked may not be the exact fit, as i'll need a M to F.

I'll take a quick look inside the aerial where the cable meets the booster, and see if I can run a single longer cable to remove the joins.

Standard wire used in a car loom is called thin wall cable. You don't need to go massively high. I can't remember the exacts but I think a 1.5mm^2 cable is more than capable of taking 16A

A company called Polevolt (Polevolt.co.uk) will do all this stuff and connectors etc at great prices and super fast delivery, as in I ordered at 1pm and it was delivered next day and not by a special delivery. Give them a call if your unsure as they are brilliant and always ready to help.

You might even be able to get the same colours as the existing looms so in the future you can figure out what each wire does easier
