Wiring diagram for folding mirrors required

Does anyone have a wiring diagram which includes the power fold mirrors. I have all the parts but can't see where the module goes or if it has the connector in the car. So may need to make a new harness to wire it all in.

That site needs Java IIRC and can be a nightmare to get working, I recall there were some steps I had to go thorough to get it work on my Mac. Suggest a search in Google to see if chrome supports it, otherwise use IE?

Interested to see how you get on with this.... I have my power fold mirrors fitted... the new drivers side switch fitted.... but like you I can’t find where the module is supposed to just plug in, and I can only assume we’re missing a small piece of the wiring loom?

After paying £200 for them I just want the bloody things to work and fold/unfold when I lock the car

Jamie, I have tried on lots of cars with them fitted, and not yet been able to get them to auto fold.. However next time Kev is at mine I'll give it a go with the launch and see if I can "make it so"...

Oh, I thought that was the whole point of having them? Bit pointless to just use the button on the inside of the car, hopefully you can make it so.... and then wire them on for me haha

The Z4 doesn’t do auto fold / unfold as it’s doesnt have memory modules like the rest of the BMW’s. I did get them to fold on locking but you can’t get them to unfold on unlocking.

How did you manage that Neil? With your intravee?

If that's all they can do, that's probably sufficient, as you can always press one more button as part of the starting procedure. At the moment mine goes, seat heater on, traction off, roof down. So one more press wouldn't be an issue.

Ahhhh I see! I’m secretly hoping your car doesn’t have the wiring loom.... so that can be on your list of Z4 services.... power fold mirror harnesses
